An Introduction:

What is TJC High Ed?

This is a website where one can find out more information on foreign universities, scholarships. and what life overseas is like.

Why did we create it?

Yan Liang and I, being from TJC, had few seniors whom studied overseas and were available to share resources. We feel that it would be great if those who have done their own research on various aspects of higher education can share with everyone else the gems they have come across in their research. This is a wiki, and that means anyone and everyone can edit the information here to make this a rich source of information for those who seek to pursue their education overseas.

Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to find out more about higher education. There is information on scholarships too so potential scholars will find this useful as well.

What can I find here?

You will find information on the various universities which are more well known, although there will be more obscure ones up soon. *crosses fingers* There are also write ups on the various scholarships and their interview processes, shared by present scholars and those who have experienced these grueling constructs. There is also information on living overseas, as well as various quirks about universities and scholarships that we have come across. There are also tips that we hope will be useful when you face the dreaded interviewers in those pressure cookers that are the boardrooms.

How can I contribute?

We hope that you can share your experiences here, whatever they may be, with regards to experiences overseas or in interviews for scholarships and universities. There should be a spirit of sharing, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and where we all benefit together.

Also do contribute jokes or any other interesting facts or figures related to any of these subjects, the mood here should not be one that is dull and boring.

I hope you will find this place useful,

Joshua Chow, class of TJC 21/05
